What to wear

Please wear comfortable clothing that will give easy access to various parts of your body (abdomen, back, arms and legs), loose shorts and t-shit work well for most of our patients.

What styles of Acupuncture do you practice?

I practice many different styles of Acupuncture, all equally effective in their own right. Certain practitioners prefer one over the other, and some will use the style that they feel is most fit for the patient and condition being treated, as I do. Although Acupuncture first started in China, it has, over centuries, spread to many Asian countries and thus there are many different and distinct styles (Japanese, Korean, Classical, Traditional Chinese Medicine style etc.

Payments and Insurance

Payments are expected at the time of treatment. For your convenience, we accept Cash, Cheque or Credit Card payments. If you have a Health Spending Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) you may be able to pay us directly from it, please check with your insurance carrier. Some of our patients also use Advance Care Card.

Many insurance companies cover acupuncture treatment. We participate as Out-of-Network providers with many insurance companies. Please check with your insurance company if you have acupuncture coverage for out-of-network providers or call us and we will verify coverage for you.

Things to keep in mind when it comes to acupuncture and insurance coverage:

  •  insurance coverage varies from one insurance plan/company to another
  •  coverage can vary based on diagnosis

The insurance plans cover pretty standard procedures, but when it comes to new and cutting edge treatments that are really the alternative to taking those pills that aren’t helping you, insurance companies aren't looking to expand what they’re covering. They’re looking to cover less and less. We believe however, it’s up to a patient and & health care provider to decide what is the best treatment for their condition, not insurance company.

Cancellation Policy

We require minimum 24 hrs advance notice to cancel all appointments. If less than 24 hrs notice is given, you will be asked to pay for missed appointment. We require credit card information on file for all new patients that wish to schedule an appointment.
